Mindanao Region Seminar/Workshop

The second of three workshops was conducted in Davao City, in the elegant Marco Polo Hotel

The participants were from universities, colleges, regional government offices and non-governmental organizations. There were 12 webmasters and technology professionals from colleges and universities, 10 policy-makers of government offices, and three officers of disability-related NGOs.

The seminar included a tour of a Nova-Foundation-sponsored data-encoding center with four deaf encoders. Participants also visited a computer training center for persons with disabilities, an accessible neighbourhood project, and a livelihood project for persons with disabilities.

Her Excellency, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo briefly visited at the end of the workshop.
